Linear Static Analysis

Objective

To study the Linear Static Analysis on the Beam.

Project Description

In this activity we will learn how to perform linear static analysis on the beam using a 1D element.We will learn the various options available while defining the 1D element and check for structures that can be analyzed using 1D lements.

Procedure

1. Create a line as per details and enter the simulation environment.
2. Create 1D elements in meshing selecting the beam as cross section.
3. Apply shape and size of the cross section.
4. Apply the relevant materials to the cross section created.
5. Specify the load and constraints.
6. Solve to check the result.

Result

 

Thus, following this procedure we get the positive result.
