How to create a Multi-Section Surface -Spine in CATIA

Creating a Multi-Section Surface – Spine:

Step 1: Goto Mechanical Design > Wireframe & Surface design….

Step 2: Select the plane and click of Sketch Task Environment and it directly takes you to Sketchy Window.

Step 3: Here select any Sketch tool to Sketch a Profile; I selected Spine Sketch tool to sketch a profile.

Step 4: Exit Sketch Task Environment.

Step 5: Now select another plane and create a Circle as concentric to spine.

Step 6: Again Exit Sketch Task Environment

Step 7: Click on Plane Icon here dialog box will opens select Parallel through point and create a plane

Step 8: click of Sketch Task Environment and it directly takes you to Sketchy Window. Now go circle tool create a circle concentric to spine and exit sketch

Step 9: Now go to Insert > Surface > Multi-Section Surface… here select the sketch profile as section 1 and 2.AND Select Spine  options and select  Spine as  Sketch click on OK.

Multi-Section Surface – Spine is created
